2009 The Grand Opening of the LSU Sports Exhibit, Tiger Tails, at the Snyder Museum and Creative Arts Center

Bastrop was very fortunate to be able to host the grand opening of the LSU Sports Exhibit, “Tiger Tales,” at the Snyder Museum and Creative Arts Center on Saturday, February 7.

The exhibit features pieces from the Jack & Priscilla Andonie Museum, which is a museum dedicated to Tiger athletics located on the LSU campus. In addition to the opening of the exhibit, former LSU athletes hailing from northeast Louisiana were recognized.

Former Bastrop High standout Solomon Lee was one of the many LSU athletes that was honored at the grand opening. Lee, who was a starter on LSU’s 2001 SEC Championship squad, is one of several local athletes who loaned pieces of memorabilia to be displayed in the exhibit.

Together with their families, recent LSU signees and local Bastrop High standouts, Reuben Randall and Josh Downs attended this exciting event.

The exhibit will be open to the public through March at the Snyder Museum and Creative Arts Center located at 1620 East Madison in Bastrop. For more information call (318) 281-8760.
